PTFE hose is different than a rubber lined braided hose because of the material that the liner is made from. This liner is chemically inert allowing it to be compatible with the most common automotive fluids including gasoline, ethanol, methanol, diesel, transmission fluid, e85, power steering fluid, and more. We only sell PTFE hose and stand behind the product with a lifetime warranty. 

Yes you must use fittings designed for use with PTFE hose, our fittings must be used for the warranty to be valid.
